Custom Apps Program

We build the app your company needs, on our technology. Tailored to how you really work, and delivered where you need it: on That Open Platform or in your own environment.

Professional services are contracted directly with TOC Systems, SL under a separate agreement or quote. They are not sold online or through our payment provider.

Built on That Open Platform

What the platform brings when your app runs on it.

UI ComponentsBenefit: The viewer, model trees, tables and 2D-in-3D markers are already there. Your app starts with an interface, not with a blank canvas.
Enterprise SecurityBenefit: Sign-in, roles and permissions come from the platform, audited and already in production. You don't build an identity system.
SDKs & APIsBenefit: Versioned, predictable APIs and an MCP server. Your app — and any AI agent you connect — talks to the platform through the same documented surface.
OpenBIM interoperability & Data GovernanceBenefit: Your app connects to everything the platform connects to, from day one. And to the open standards — IFC, BCF and IDS — whenever you need them.
Managed DevOpsBenefit: Hosting, deployments, monitoring and backups are ours. You get an app that runs, not an infrastructure to maintain.
Scalability & PerformanceBenefit: Fragments streaming, progressive loading and GPU rendering. Huge models open in your app the same way they open in ours.

Questions

Who can join the Custom Apps Program?

AECO companies that want software adapted to their projects and don’t have the time or the team to build it.

I’m a user / BIM Software Developer, can I participate in That Open Custom Apps Program?

Yes, if you want the app for your company’s internal use: the program is for companies that need an app built for them and want to use it in their own work. If you have your own dev team and a product to sell, the Accelerator Program is the better fit.See the Accelerator Program

What are the key benefits?

A team that turns your real needs into working software. A custom app built by us on our technology, running on That Open Platform or in your own environment. Full integration with your systems and workflows. The code written for you is yours.

Are there any limitations?

We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so we can do each one properly.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what the app needs to do. After the scoping call, we send you a proposal with scope, timeline and price.

How long does it take?

It depends on the scope. The timeline is part of the proposal, so you know it before you commit.

Who owns the app?

You own the code written specifically for your company: your business rules, workflows and integrations. The platform and the reusable components the app is built on remain ours, and you get a perpetual licence to use them as part of your app.

Can I sell the app or offer it to other companies?

The licence covers internal use: your team, contractors and consultants, and the clients and collaborators you work with on your own services. Selling it, sublicensing it or offering it as a service to other companies requires a separate partner agreement with us.About partners

Do I have to keep paying to use it?

No. The licence is perpetual: you receive the source code and the documentation, and the app keeps working without any subscription to our services. If you want updates and support, you can add an optional annual plan.

Can we modify it, or have another company maintain it?

Yes. You can modify the code written for you, run the app in your own infrastructure, and hire anyone you choose to maintain or evolve it.

Does owning the app mean exclusivity?

No. The code written for you is yours and we never share your confidential information. But we can build similar features for other clients, and owning your app doesn’t give exclusivity over a type of functionality.
